FG Sacks 22 Top Management Staff Of Federal Airports Authority , Demotes Others

Sources saya massive retrenchment exercise at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) exercise has resulted to at least 22 management staff, including General Managers and Deputy General Managers loosing their jobs:

The letters were reported distributed to them wenesday morning, following the exercise, some General Managers that were not sacked by the government were heavily demoted. For instance, a General Manager on Grade Level 17 was demoted to 10, as was the agency’s Ag. Director of Finance.

As of the time of filing this story, it was gathered that the committee responsible for the exercise was still in the FAAN boardroom sending out more letters to affected staff.

Our correspondent also learnt that a forthcoming round may still affect more members of the top management.

Bomb Making Factory Uncovered in Okpella, Edo State

A Bomb making factory has been discovered at Okpella. The strangers who were living in the premises with their wives and children, which the community thought they were farmers, little did they know that the premises was a bomb making factory. Okpella Bomb explosion Nemesis Caught up with them, one of the bombs exploded killing one of them while fabricating them. the explosion called the attention of neighbors, While the Community tried to find out the cause of the explosion, they quickly packed the bombs and other weapons into their car to escape, members of the community gave them a pursuit when they took off. With the help of the Edo State Police Command three suspects were arrested for assembling items used in the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
