Students Narrates Ordeal as Gunmen Storm their School in Lagos

 Suspected militants, yesterday, stormed Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in Eredo Local Council Development Area, Epe, Lagos State, kidnapping the school’s Vice Principal, a teacher and four students. The two students were later rescued by policemen who immediately arrived the scene. The gunmen, over 10, it was gathered, came through the waterways in three speed boats. They were said to have positioned themselves strategically, around the school building , while about six of them gained entrance into the school premises through a collapsed fence           One of the students "said that one of the gunmen, suspected to be the leader, instructed them to leave immediately when others were going to get more students. Former  lords of the creeks across the Niger Delta have threatened to frustrate President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term bid if he eventually declares his intention. The position was made known in a statement issued in Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday, by a former  lord of the creeks, General Godday Smith (aka Bounanawei - gods of the Niger Delta). A Russian soldier has cheated death after footage emerged of him having a bullet removed from his forehead with a pair of pliers. Eight killed in fresh Bayelsa creek attack

No body will call for a reoccurrence of the previous Niger delta's militancy, because is going to set back the country again, but the activities seems to be creeping in gradually; Over the weekend in Bayelsa State was another attack as eight persons were killed in a deadly attack launched by suspected militants.
