Bad or good news  WhatsApp users?   Facebook announced late Wednesday that it has acquired messaging app WhatsApp for $19 billion. Apple’s next-generation iPhone 6 will finally match up to its key Android rivals and pack a 5-inch, Full HD 1080p display. That’s according to new rumours emerging from Japan, published in Mac Fan magazine. The move to a larger screen would not be a huge surprise. Apple is said to have been testing larger, phablet-style phones for months, with a slew of stories of 6-inch devices emanating from supply-chain sources throughout the summer. This new piece of tittle tattle, though, says a 5-inch number is nailed-on. While Mac Fan’s sources' credentials as sources of juicy info remain unclear, it's undoubtedly fair to say that a device of that size wouldn’t be seen as too large by most consumers. Six million Facebook users have had their contact information inadvertently exposed because of a bug in the site. The social media giant admitted that each piece of information - such as an email address or phone number - had been given out "once or twice" and said it was "upset and embarrassed" by the mistake. Facebook said the bug was connected to a technical mix-up between its Download Your Information (DYI) tool, which lets users get an archive of their timeline activity, and the feature which recommends who to add as a friend. People using the tool were also unexpectedly getting extra contact information for friends of friends, or extra contact information for their existing Facebook friends. The site tried to reassure users in a blog post and said there was no evidence yet that the bug had been maliciously exploited. Researchers from Durham and Lancaster Universities say a foetus' ability to show pain through facial expressions is a developmental process which helps the unborn baby prepare for life after birth. The research was carried out by creating scans of 15 healthy foetuses, and could give doctors another index of the health of an unborn baby. The study showed a foetus is capable of making simple one-dimensional expressions at 24 weeks, such as the ability to move the lips to form a smile. Much like verified accounts on Twitter, verified Facebook pages will now display a small blue check mark beside their owner's name on the social network.
