Bomb Making Factory Uncovered in Okpella, Edo State

A Bomb making factory has been discovered at Okpella. The strangers who were living in the premises with their wives and children, which the community thought they were farmers, little did they know that the premises was a bomb making factory. Okpella Bomb explosion Nemesis Caught up with them, one of the bombs exploded killing one of them while fabricating them. the explosion called the attention of neighbors, While the Community tried to find out the cause of the explosion, they quickly packed the bombs and other weapons into their car to escape, members of the community gave them a pursuit when they took off. With the help of the Edo State Police Command three suspects were arrested for assembling items used in the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Mali's Hotel Attack

A group of Islamist gunmen involved in the storming of a luxury hotel in Mali’s capital, Bamako, continued to hold out against security forces on Friday even after the evacuation of all civilians from the building, a security ministry spokesman said. “The attackers no longer have hostages. They are dug in in the upper floors. They are alone with the Malian special forces who are trying to dislodge them,” spokesman Amadou Sangho said.

US Offers $23m for Shekau, Boko Haram boss, AQIM

"In an unprecedented move, the United States has posted up to $US23 million ($A24.04 million) in rewards to help track down five leaders of militant groups accused of spreading terror in west Africa. The highest reward of $US7 million is offered for the Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, who last week called on Islamists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to join the bloody fight to create an Islamic state in Nigeria. The US State Department's Rewards for Justice program also targeted Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), offering its first ever bounties for wanted militants in west Africa. Up to $US5 million was posted for Al-Qaeda veteran Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the one-eyed Islamist behind the devastating attack on an Algerian gas plant in January in which 37 foreigners, including three Americans, were killed. JTF Uncovers Lebanese Terror Cell in Kano, With Cache of Arms and Amunition

With thousands of porous borders , how will Nigeria not be home of foreign terrorist groups? "Joint Task Force on Thursday said it had uncovered a Lebanon-based Hezbollah armoury and terror cell in Bompai, Kano State. The force, which said it found large cache of arms and ammunition, also confirmed the arrest of three persons in connection with the armoury and the cell. A Lebanese national currently out of the country reportedly owns the premises where the armoury and the cell were found at No 3, Gaya Road, Off Bompai Road in the ancient city. A statement by the JTF spokesman, Captain Ikedichi Iweha, said the JTF operatives, comprising officials of the 3rd Army Brigade in Kano and the State Security Service conducted the operations. The operatives, he said, uncovered an underground bunker in the premises where large quantities of assorted weapons were hidden. A U.S. Drone kills Pakistan Taliban Number Two

" A U.S. drone strike killed the number two of the Pakistani Taliban in the North Waziristan region on Wednesday, three security officials said, in what would be a major blow in the fight against militancy. The drone strike killed seven people, Pakistani security officials said, including Taliban deputy commander Wali-ur-Rehman, in the first such attack since a May 11 general election in which the use of the unmanned aircraft was a major issue. Wali-ur-Rehman had been poised to succeed Hakimullah Mehsud as leader of the Pakistani Taliban, a senior army official based in the South Waziristan region, had said in December. "This is a huge blow to militants and a win in the fight against insurgents," one security official told Reuters, declining further comment.
