FG Declares Thursday and Friday Public Holidays, Urging Nigerians to Pray for Peace


"For the benefit of those who might have been wondering what days would be declared as holidays for  celebrations, the Federal Government has declared Thursday and Friday as public holidays to mark the 2012  celebrations
.
The information was revealed by the Minister of Interior, , who announced it in Abuja on Monday. The minister called on Nigerians to imbibe and emulate the worthy tenets of Islam as practiced by the holy Prophet Mohammad.
Also, a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of interior, Daniel Nwaobia quoted Mr Moro as urging the citizens to pray for peace and prosperity of the nation". (Punch)
