We Will Give France a Shocker– Yobo, Enyeama warn

Nigeria to meet France today in the ongoing Brazil 2014 world cup, Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama says “We fear nobody,” the 31-year-old with magnetic gloves said. “We have a culture for football. It’s our way of life. To be honest, we have great confidence in ourselves. We respect the French team but we are not afraid of any team in this competition”, he sounded. Ayo Fayose Of The PDP Wins Ekiti Elections

At the end of Ekiti election the Returning Officer for the 2014 governorship elections and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Professor Isaac Azuzu announced the results of the governorship elections in Ekiti State declaring the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Ayodele Fayose, who was governor of Ekiti State from 29 May 2003 to 16 October 2006, winner of the contest. Mr Fayose had a total of 203,090 votes to defeat other candidates who participated in the exercise. APC candidate and incumbent governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi had 120,433 votes. Fayose also defeated  Labour Party’s Opeyemi  Bamidele who  had  18, 135 votes. The Returning Officer, before announcing the results, called on the agents of the various political parties that participated in the elections to sign for the results sheet which indicates that they agree to the process and the election result. Tracy Morgan is in critical condition after being injured in a six-vehicle car accident in Cranbury, New Jersey on Saturday, June 7, The 30 Rock alum, 45, was traveling in a limo bus that overturned north Exit 7A at around 1 a.m. State Police say two tractor trailers, two cars, and one SUV were involved. Morgan was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, N.J. and is in intensive care. Authorities confirm one person aboard the limo has died, three others are in critical condition, and one passenger is in fair condition. The accident occurred following the comedian's stand-up gig at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware Friday night. His Turn It Funny show scheduled for The Fillmore Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C., on Saturday has been cancelled.

Prof. Dora Akunyili is dead, she was 59

Prof. (Mrs.) Dora Nkem Akunyili, former Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and former minister of Information,  is  dead, Her looks in the ongoing CANFAB showed she just passed through a serious ailment she was later taken to india from CONFAB for further treatment when her health deteriorated. According to a family source,  Isaac Umunna, Media Advisor to Prof. Dora Akunyili confirmed that Akunyili died in an India Hospital where she has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment. She was aged 59.

Emir of Kano has passed away at age 83

Emir of Kano Ado Abdullahi Bayero, has passed away at age 83 Bayero became the Emir in 1963 at age of 33, and was one of Nigeria’s most prominent traditional rulers . He died earlier today, and will be buried today in Kano according to Islamic rites.
