Amaechi Dramatically Screened Finally

After the long waiting for Amaechi screening, he finally surfaced in the senate today, it was all drama galore , there was as expected disagreement when PDP Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, raised a Point of Order on Amaechi’s screening when the report on the petition against him was yet to be considered. Akpabio insisted that it was the rules of the Senate that when the Committee on Ethic and Privileges submits its report on a petition against a nominee, it must be considered before screening. To that end, the minority leader said that the PDP senators would not participate in asking the nominee any questions until the report of the committee was considered in the `Committee of the Whole.’ The committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions headed by Sen. Sam Anyanwu (PDP), laid its report today at plenary. Breaking: EFCC Arrests Ex-governor, Akpabio Over Alleged Fraud

Ex Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, was reportedly arrested on Friday by the EFCC. Sometimes i just wonder, the same toothless EFCC during Jonathan's administration, is now biting everybody, The EFCC has suddenly grow teeth LOLZ, Naija! Quoting Premium Times, Akpabio was said to have been taken in by EFCC operatives at about 5.20 pm. He was said to have been accompanied by a few aides and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Ricky Tarfa. The report states that an aide to the former governor, who cannot be named because he is not authorised to speak on the matter revealed that Mr. Akpabio is currently being interrogated by top officials of the EFCC. An EFCC source also stated to have confirmed the development. “He was brought in at about 5.20 pm accompanied by a few aides and Mr. Rickey Tarfa,” source said.

Cash Running into Millions Recovered from Ex-Minister Of Petroleum

  Diezani Alison-Madueke who was one of the top ministers in Jonathan's government was arrested Friday morning by the UK National Crimes Agency, alongside four other people, besides the four other persons arrested with the former minister, more suspects may also be arraigned. Meanwhile, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detectives, who raided the Abuja home of Allison-Madueke, just at about the time of her arrest in the UK, on Friday, reportedly recovered cash running into millions of Naira. Abuja Bomb Blast: Eye Witness Report

The multiple bomb blast the occurred in Abuja, yesterday were carried out by 2 female and one male,  at Nyanya and Kuje towns of the FCT the male bomber, dropped the bomb that had the  killed Twelve persons at the Market in Kuje.
