Pastor Drops Dead During "confession"

A congregation loudly confronted its longtime pastor about his alleged infidelity -- and in the midst of their yelling, the pastor dropped dead. "After the service on Sunday the bishop's family asked us to remain in the church and the bishop confessed to us something that happened long ago," said Judy Stovall, an elder at the church. "He wanted to come clean with all of us. He wanted to ask our forgiveness." Members of the congregation were very vocal with Davis just before he passed out, but they were shouting support for him, Stovall said. "We were shouting, `We forgive you, we love you,' but the stress of all of it -- he had a heart attack," Stovall said. "I held his head as he lay on the floor," she said, her voice cracking with emotion. "Our congregation is hurting now." The cause of death is pending further review, according to the Office of the State Medical Examiner. Readmore

Linda Ikeji VS Olamide On Twitter

Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji, and indigenous rap star, Olamide, "Badoooh" are engaged in a bitter Twitter fight. The bone of contention from all indications appears to have been provided by Linda Ikeji. The blogger had earlier reported a story that Olamide’s long-term girlfriend and baby-mama, Aisha is allegedly pregnant with another child. Olamide however insists that the story is false, claiming that he is not yet a father, and that Linda’s story is unfounded and untrue. Fans of both parties have taken sides right now, with many tweeting in support of their camps. Linda will always come up with this kind of stories, hmmm,.

Dora Akunyili,  Ex-NAFDAC DG,  when you see her will you still know her? "yes" i will because she still has her beautiful and charming smiles, she appeared at the National Judicial Institute venue of the ongoing national conference in Abuja on Monday looking very pale and emaciated, a far cry from her usual vivacious self. On her facebook page on Tuesday, the  Ex-NAFDAC DG who  gave drug counterfeiters hell and whose tenure was globally celebrated for the clean up of the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry admitted that she has been ill: “I just came out of a major sickness, for which I thank Almighty God for delivering me. However, I am strong enough for this Conference and I look forward to collaborating with other delegates to chart the way for a better N

President Jonathan’s 75% Voting rule Splits CONFAB

"[The first major deadlock set in at the National Conference, yesterday, when delegates were split over the clause stipulating that all decisions to be reached must be done through consensus or a vote of 75 per cent majority. Tension began to rise when the chairman, Justice Idris Kutigi, attempted to overrule a delegate, Chief Mike Ozekhome, who had called for the amendment of the provision to make it possible for any decision to be arrived at through two thirds majority, which he said was the same position with the constitution and global best practices. Ozekhome had argued that it would be against the interest of natural justice and the nation for major decisions to be decided by only a few persons at the confab, since the meaning of 75 per cent was such that even if the delegates had up to 74.99 per cent, they could not change anything while a minority of 25 per cent of the members could easily win over anything they decide on under the rule of consensus... The activist

Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) also denied reports that each of the delegates will get N12 million each at the end of the three-month duration for the conference. He explained that the actual monthly take home pay for each delegate is about N3.3 million. In his explanation, Ozekhome said: “From the alert from my bank, the sum of N1,460,000 was paid in, representing two weeks allowance. Calculated pro-rata, this amounts to N2,920,000 per month. “If we take this as net and assume that 10 percent

Mohammed Garba, had earlier told the court that Osigbembe stole the laptops, belonging to one Anselm Njoku, at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) secretariat in Abuja. Garba said that it was when Njoku stepped out of his office that the convict sneaked in and took the laptops, kept on the table. An armada of ships including the Royal Navy's HMS Echo (top right) and Australia's HMAS Success (bottom right), along with hi-tech surveillance planes, have been dispatched to the area to identify the debris. However, initial sweeps drew a blank, with poor visibility hampering the search effort (top left). One of the objects is estimated to be 78ft (24m) in size, the other 15ft (five metres), and the sighting of the objects was said by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott to be 'credible and potentially important
