Close to 20 people were again killed in Plateau State, yesterday, when gunmen invaded Mavou village in Wase Local Government Area.

Reports from Wase said the attackers who invaded the village at abut 2a.m. also torched abut 10 houses.

A resident who gave his name as Nangak said the attackers came in large number and shot sporadically as they raided the village.

The motive for the attack could not be immediately ascertained, but there had been skirmishes among communities in the local government for some time now.
It was learnt that additional security had been deployed to the area to restore normalcy.
