Miss Philippines, Megan Young, is the top favourite of everyone to win the coveted Miss World 2013 crown. But with every favourite person there is a controversial history. The 23-year-old had posed topless for Rouge magazine in March 2012 and many believe that it can work against the chances of the young  hopeful.

Young looks sizzling in the black and white shots of the luxury magazine photos where she wears a black polka dotted bikini. The pictures were part of an editorial for a high-end magazine and the shots are classy, artistic and not very provocative either. The topless pictures of Megan can be seen here.


Every one predicted Megan Young has strong chances of winning the competition as she is one of the finalists in many competitions that took place on the coronation night. Megan is one of the 10 finalists in the Top Model Competition, in addition to being in Top 11 at Beach Fashion contest two weeks ago. She is also the one contestant who is voted favourite in the online poll and tipped as the top contestants to win the Miss World 2013.


Megan is also one of the few contestants selected to have a solo feature in the Dances of the World production number that will be presented on the finale night. Megan will be doing the Singkil, a Filipino-Muslim dance. Her Miss World profile video is the most viewed with a more than 97,000 views. In second place is that of Miss Vietnam with a little over 79,000.
She finally came out as miss world 201 as predicted.
Miss Philippines, Megan Young, is hailed the winner in the Miss World Top Model 2013 challenge besting other tough contenders. She is followed by Olivia Jordan (United States) at second spot, Marine Lorphelin (France) third spot, Anna Zaiachkivska (Ukraine) fourth spot, and Sancler Frantz (Brazil) at fifth spot.

Meanwhile, Megan Young was placed at fifth spot in Beach Fashion challenge; and third spot in Multimedia category.

Sancler Frantz (Brazil) was declared the winner for Beach Fashion; followed by France and Ghana, at second and third spots, respectively. Navneet Dhillon (India), on the other hand, won the Multimedia category

The contestants were asked 'Why they deserve the Miss World 2013 title' and here's what they said:

France: Miss World is a pretigious title. It's a chance to meet people around the world and help them. Also because i'm generous.

Ghana: I believe Miss World is a woman of substance.

Brazil: Beauty opens doors, but 'Beauty with a Purpose' opens hearts and minds

Spain: I want to be the Miss World for all the right reasons. Beauty from within and kindness changes lives.

Gibraltar: I will work hard and with passion to make their peoples' lives more easier and happier.

This year's pageant is being presented by Jennifer Reoch ( a 2011 Miss World contestant) and Kamal Ibrahim.

The Miss World 2013 Grand Final kickstarted with the British boyband 'Blue' performing their hit number 'Break My Heart'.

A brief round of introductions was followed by a breathtaking Balinese performance.

The contests finally take the centre stage in their colourful evening gowns.

In an 'oops moment', Miss India contestant was about to trip on her gown.

Poised and confident, the contestants, sang the 'Indonesia Raya' - National Anthem of Indonesia.

Judging the best from a bevy of beauties is a herculean task. The Miss World panel of judges include the likes of Liliana Tanoesoedibjo (chairwoman of Miss Indonesia Organization), Coretta Kapoyos Bayuseno (chairwoman of Jakarta Police Wives Organization), and Julia Morley (chairwoman of Miss World Organization).

The winner of 'Beauty With A Purpose' of 2013 is Miss Nepal, Ishani Shrestha.

The Top 10 contestants to enter the Semi-Finals are:

10th place is Ghana, 9th place Jamaica, 8th place Spain, 7th place Indonesia, 6th place England, 5th place Nepal, 4th place France, 3rd place Australia, 2nd place Brazil, 1st place Philippines.

A glittering final to the Miss World pageant unfolds on the Indonesian island of Bali under heavy security after weeks of hardline Muslim protests and warnings the beauty contest could be attacked.

The 2012 Miss World Yu Wenxia from China passes on her crown to one lucky lady of 130 contestants in the 63rd Miss World Grand Final on the resort island of Bali.

Today's final will see the contestants’ parade in Indonesian-designed dresses and feature a series of musical performances.

The finalists will face a question and answer round from a panel of judges before a winner is crowned.

Chandigarh girl Navneet Kaur Dhillon who is representing India has already made a splash at the pageant by winning the ‘Miss Multimedia Award’.
