A man was on Tues robbed of a Black Range Rover (SUV) vehicle  with number AH 228 abc, N300,000 and other valuables by men whom he thought were security guards at an Estate in Gudu, Abuja.
Police source said the victim had visited an acquaintance at the said estate at about 9:20pm when he was accosted by 2 armed men, whom he took for security men connected to the estate.
“When they pointed the gun at him with smiling faces, he thought they were estate security guards however to his surprise they told him that they were armed robbers. He heeded to the robbers warning to alight from the vehicle or be shot at and therefore the robbers zoomed off with the Vehincle,” the source said.
According to Police source “Our men swung into action and a stop and search was initiated after the case was reported at the Garki station house, that led to the recovery of the vehicle at New Karu in Nasarawa State,’’ the source additional aforesaid.
FCT Police public relations Officer, Hyelhira Altine Daniel, confirmed the story and suggested residents to be vigilant once stopped by anybody, who pretends to be a enforcement officer or private security guard.
