VIDEO: Passengers jumps From Plane As It Makes Landing With Undercarriage Fire

The landing gear of a Boeing 737 operated by UTair has burst into flames shortly before landing at Vnukovo airport near Moscow.

The pilot managed to safely land the aircraft  and none of the 139 passengers were injured.

A Russian television news crew was on board the plane when the fire broke out.

"The left leg was on fire. Tyres were punctured and the firefighters were already fighting with the fire," said cameraman Dmitry Vishkevich.

Passengers left the plane by jumping from one of the wings after landing.

The airport was immediately closed down and all flights transferred to other destinations.
