FG to transfer UNIABUJA Students To Other Varsities


UNIABUJA
The Federal Government has announced that is making moves to relocate Engineering students of the University of Abuja to other universities.
The Faculty of Engineering is among the Universities programmes that are yet to get accreditation from the Nigeria Universities Commission and its students have been involved in several protests in recent times, aimed at rectifying their situation.

Minister of education Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed said today that the universities where the students are to be re-absorbed have already been identified. She said this would pave way for the Engineering programme to gain fresh accreditation.

The Minister spoke in Abuja after a delegation of the National Associatn of Nigerian Students led by its President appealed to the federal government to set up an emergency fund to purchase all the necessary equipment needed to facilitate accreditation for the engineering faculty.
