Mpape Demolition: A Pathetic Case Of School Children

The pronouncement by the Federal Capital Territory Administration , Abuja of the demolition of Mpape settlement sometime in 2012, sent shocking waves that some residents has failed to recover from. while some took to their heels and relocated, some decided to go back to the village
, while some who lacked the fund to move and other who have properties in the area stayed to wait for their fates.
but, there is this pathetic case of the Proprietor  of Answer Primary and Nursery School located at GRA of Mpape.

After much entreaties to the authorities to stop the planned Demolition of Mpape, a suburb, near high brow Maitama District,  Abuja could not yield the desired result, The said proprietor for the fear of the unknown removed the roofs of his classrooms in other not to loose everything to the coming demolition and transported both the zincs and the planks away from Mpape.
Fortunately for those who were waiting for their fates and unfortunately for the Proprietor of this school the demolition was later put on HOLD after further interventions;
Now, the Demolition is on hold
He has taken off the roofs of his class rooms
Mpape residents are fully back
Most of his school children has no other option
We are worried because the school has been reopened with out roofs, in scorching rays of abuja sun, these children resumes at 8 a;m and closes at 3p;m, this is a very poor and bad learning condition for these children, therefore we are calling on the appropriate authority to intervene. Though FCT administration has promised to relocate residents of Mpape, but how soon will this happen will this children continue their learning in that condition.
This is the federal capital territory every child has a right to good education in a conducive environment.-Abujatalk
