SAVE YOUR BLACKBERRY BATTERY NOW, OR ELSE ,,,

SAVE YOUR BLACKBERRY BATTERY NOW, OR ELSE ,,, YOU KEEP SEARCHING FOR CHARGERS &POWER TO CHARGE YOUR BB IF YOU MUST PING
If there’s one complaint I’ve heard about the BlackBerry, and really about smart phones in general, it’s that the battery life leaves much to be desired., A lot of BB users have been looking for ways to save their BB  battery life, so that they can get through a day without recharging the battery or the green, low-battery LCD flashing. Seeing this sometimes makes people think they have a new message, and that gets a bit annoying over time. So here are a few ways you can cut down on your BlackBerry battery usage. Though I am a Smartphone lover, but because I love you BB users, I don’t want you guys to be searching for chargers and power to charge your BB all the time.

Tips for reducing fast battery drain:
1.TURN OFF THE RADIO. A BlackBerry constantly searching for signal drains the battery quickly. In an office building, residence, or rural area with low signal coverage, you will experience a quicker battery drain. Turn off the “radio” on the homescreen or the data signal if you must reduce battery drain in severe circumstances (Options > Mobile Network > Data Services = OFF).

When there’s no signal, turn off your radio

Cell phone coverage has improved greatly since the beginning of the decade. Yet there are still areas where you’ll get a “no service available” message. In the city, this means the subways. In rural areas, this can be anywhere.
When your phone searches for a signal, you’re using a significant amount of battery life. When you’re underground, you’re constantly searching for signal. So it’s best to turn off the radio completely at that point. Just go to the Manage Connections icon in your Applications menu, and uncheck the Mobile Network box.

2. SWITCH OFF BACKGROUND APPS. Press your Menu key and then choose Switch Applications to see what is running in the background (or, hold down the Menu key about 3 seconds for the App Switcher ribbon to appear). There are commonly four or five applications that will always be running (Messages, Call Logs/Phone, BlackBerry Messenger, Homescreen, and the Browser; there are others such as BeamBerry and Alarms which will also run). Make certain that the browser is NOT on an active webpage (should return the bookmarks page only). Close any other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps). Applications like GoogleMaps and streaming audio apps such as Pandora or the Media Player left running in the background are big battery drainers.
3. TURN OFF BLUETOOTH CONNECTION. when you don’t need it (Options > Bluetooth).
4. TURN TO BATT SAVING MODE WERE AVAILABLE.Some applications such JiveTalk have a “battery save mode” when idle. Log off applications such as JiveTalk, AIM, Google Talk if you are not using them for long periods of time.
5.TURN DOWN YOUR BACKLIGHT. Turn your backlight down to 80%… for many, that is a barely noticeable difference in the screen brightness (Options > Screen/Keyboard).
6.TURN OFF THE WIFI.
Really, the same as the two above. You don’t want to be constantly searching for WiFi signal when none exists. Uncheck the box, and only check it when you know you’re within the range of WiFi.

7.LASTLY CHANGE YOUR RINGER/NOTIFICATIONS

It’s pretty well known by this point that a vibrating cell phone is a battery draining cell phone. This is no different for your BlackBerry. While many people prefer the vibrating option, it’s certainly a cause of their battery drain. So you have to decide which is more important: battery life or notification convenience on can save a little bit, too.
The volume of your ringer also plays into your battery. Loud volume calls for more battery drain. The problem, of course, is that the BlackBerry has a notoriously low-volume ringer. So sometimes it’s necessary to pump it up a bit. Realize, thought, that it’s causing your bars to drop quicker.
REPLACING A BATTERY
If your cell phone battery fails regularly even after several charges, you may need a new one. When buying a replacement battery:

·  Be sure to check the type of battery recommended by the manufacturer and the size your specific phone will accommodate

·  Obviously trying to purchase a cell phone battery directly from your cellular company is often the easiest way to shop, but if you don't find what you need or want a better bargain, you can try specialty battery stores and online retailers

·  Check the date on the batteries. Batteries in generaly will last for 300-400 cycles, but even when they aren't in use they are losing power; thus a battery that has been on the shelf for 6 months won't last as long.

·  Although "clone batteries" (china made) may offer a better bargain, it is often best to avoid these as they aren't always safe as they sometimes lack protective circuits.
