He said with the signing of the MOU the 5month vintage strike would be suspended in a week’s time.
According to Fagge, “This is the response to the note we composed to Mr. leader and this document would now be forwarded to our members and our members would give us main heading. We are hoping that we would be adept to rendezvous with our members in less than a week.
I don’t have the power to call off the developed activity, it is only our constituents that can do that. And our constituents provided us a note to give to the government Government which we have finished and inside one week our members would meet. We currently have the article which shows that Government is committed”.
The ASUU President said the development and revitalization of Nigeria’s lnstitutions is the work of everybody.
“It is not ever too late for the territory to turn a new leaf and do what is right. Other nations that are lesser and less powerful than Nigeria have finished it and have succeeded. It is rather regrettable that Nigeria is not close to some of these lesser countries around us. It is now, we should correctly finance our universities, we have lost lot of capital to countries like Ghana and Togo”, Fagge said.
He thus assured Nigerians that ASUU would not take long in double-checking that the right thing is finished as shortly as likely.
