Nasarawa killings: Police Arrest Notorious member Of Ombatse Cult Group

A notorious member of the illegal Ombatse militia group, who was purported to have played an important role within the killings of over ninety security operatives at Alakyio village in Lafia East Development area of Nasarawa State on may 7, has been arrested by the state police command.
The 30-year-old-man, name withheld, who was been arrested on weekday evening through a tip-off at Bukan-Sidi area in Lafia, the state capital, while attempting to deal with one of the inhabitants of the area who was said to have owed his wife a considerable amount of cash, would be moved to the police force Headquarters, Abuja, tomorrow for additional interrogation and investigation into his alleged roles in the gruesome killings.
Investigation by the Nigerian tribune revealed that the suspect had confessed to committing the crime, and told the police that he killed several mobile law enforcement officials throughout the attack. informed high police source also confided in the Nigerian tribune that the suspect confessed that each one the rifles used throughout the operation were given by the chief priest of the group, baba Alakyio, and they had since came them to the same immediately after the operation.
According to the reliable source, “he could be a confirmed notorious member of the Ombatse group and he has even confessed that he killed several of our officers throughout the operation and all the rifles and ammunition taken were still with the leader, that all of you recognize as Baba-Alakyio. this is Abuja’s case, thus perhaps you have to travel to abuja to get additional details, as a result of he could also be transferred to the Force Headquarters latest by Thursday for additional investigation.”
