2 Convicts Escaped and Re-arrested With Bullet wounds in Delta State

There was commotion at a Delta State court, Asaba, Monday, following the escape of 2 condemned criminals, pane Agbofodo (aka Fete), and Frank Okedema.
They went at large from the Court just as they were pronounced guilty of a 2 count charge of conspiracy and arm robbery by the Court.
The incident caused a brief disruption of proceedings, because the Judge, lawyers and court officials scampered for safety.
The fugitive convicts were later re-arrested by residents of the neighbourhood of the court unitedly with armed jail guards, who gave the hoodlums a hot chase and comprehended them in separate locations.
Elvis who was caught hundred meters removed from the Court, suffered shooting injuries whereas his partner in crime, Frank was arrested unhurt. Prisons officers confirmed that the wounded convict [Elvis] was hurried to an unrevealed hospital for treatment.
The convicts who were transferred to Asaba from Ekpan in Uwvie local government area of the State, were also said to have on july 8, 2010 unleashed terror on residents of Ekpan, as well as one Mrs. Omatseye Mercy, robbing them of valuables and varied sums of money.
They were also accused of raping ladies and illegally in position of arms, even as they were accused of causing mayhem within the area as they engaged a rival group in shoot-out over N40 million royalty paid by an oil company in operation within the area.
