Rhodes-Vivour: Kidnappers Demand N300m Ransom


The alarming state of kidnapping is taking a harmful direction with the kidnap of Mrs. Adedoyin Rhodes. As security agents comprising vigilantes, local hunters yesterday intensify search for the kidnapped wife, daughter and driver of Mrs Adedoyin Rhodes Vivour of supreme Court Judge.

However, sources close to Police authority yesterday confirmed that the kidnappers who may be keeping their victims in a forest in Ovia North East are demanding N300m for their freedom.

Meanwhile Edo state Police commissioner, CP Foluso Adebanjo, said he has to relocated to the Ekiadolor/ Ugbogui forest the possible zone where the kidnappers may be keeping Mrs. Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour, wife of the supreme court Judge.

The police boss who expressed the commitment of his command in riding the state of criminal elements  said he has been under pressure from the inspector-General of Police, M.D. Abubakar in ensuring the kidnapped victims are found.

Similarly, comrade Adams Oshiomhole has appealed to the local hunters in the area and Neighbourhoodwatch to joint hands in the search for Mrs. Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour and her daughter who was traveling to Benin City last week Friday for marriage.

Following the appealed from Governor Adams Oshiomhole, the hunters in the Ekiadolor axis down to Ugbogui mobilizes in hundreds yesterday with a resolve to rescues the woman and her alive.

The leader of the hunters in Ekiadolor, High priest Nasogiarhu Edema said they have resolved to take their destiny in their hands in making the Ekiadolor/ Ugbogui axis of the Benin/ Lagos uncomfortable for kidnappers and criminals alike.

Similarly, Edo state Neighbourhoodwatch chairman, Major General, Charles Omoregie yesterday held series of meetings with commissioner of police.
