Soldiers Discover Bomb Factory In Hon. Husseni Dei Dei's House In Kaduna


Following a cordon and search operation carried out by Soldiers of the 1 Division, Nigerian Army Headquarters in Kaduna, another bomb making factory has been discovered at a house located few metres away from the division in Sabon Birni Road, Kawo in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna state following a tip off.

The Commander of the Division’s internal security force, Brigadier General Tagbo Chuks Ude who briefed journalists said that the discovery followed a cordon and search operation carried out in the area by soldiers from the internal security force at about 5.30 pm on Tuesday.
Ude also disclosed that the owner of the house, who is also a onetime ANPP chairmanship aspirant in the FCT, Hon. Husseni Dei Dei, two women and five children all occupants of the building were arrested during the operation, he said, and added that the building would be demolished in line with Army’s resolve to deter terrorists from their activities.
He disclosed that during the operation that lasted hours, six AK 47 rifles, one light machine gun, 27 loaded and 17 empty AK 47 magazines as well as 58 rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered. Other weapons recovered include 275 rounds of 7.62 mm NATO ammunition, one loaded light machine gun, nine prepared cans of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDS), one reel of firing cord and 125 pieces of detonator.

Ude said, the recovered weapons were buried inside a soak away pit, and grounded within the building.

He therefore commended the efforts of the well-meaning citizens that reported the matter and also reiterate Army’s steadfastness to fight terrorism in the country.

Meanwhile, he has appealed to the public to report any suspicious movement of person (s) in their environment or any establishment whose intension is unknown to the appropriate authority, and assured that such information would be treated with total confidentiality.

According to him, the arrested persons will be made to face the full wrath of the law upon proper investigation and interrogation, he added.
