Pastor, wife, pregnant woman crushed to death at Kagini


A pastor, his wife and a pregnant woman were crushed to death last Saturday at Kagini, along Kubwa-Zuba Expressway.
A witness said the pastor, his wife and three other persons were returning from a wedding ceremony in Kaduna when their vehicle broke down at Kagini, along the expressway.
He said they had alighted to check the car when a car from behind had a break failure and rammed into them.

The witness said the car crushed the three to death, while the other two occupants of the faulty vehicle escaped unhurt.
The witness, who put the accident time at 3:30pm, said the driver of the car ran away immediately and abandoned the car, while the victims were rushed to the Kubwa General Hospital.
When contacted, the Head, Accident and Emergency Unit of the hospital, Paul Olise, said the pastor and the pregnant woman, who were first brought to the hospital by a good samaritan died on the way to the hospital, while the pastor’s wife was later brought dead to the hospital.
He added that the deceased sustained various degrees of injuries and their bodies had been deposited at the hospital‘s morgue.
