Google presents 'funny Valentine,' Ferris wheel doodle

How many of you have seen this picture today? It is the Ferris wheel. Google marks Valentine's Day and the 154th birth anniversary of the inventor of the Ferris wheel?  Not just that, today visitors to Google's home page (www.google.com) will receive a greeting with a doodle that depicted two Ferris wheels – a favorite ride of lovers.

But also in the doodle is a button with a heart, which when pressed, matches two animals at random and depicts them in random lovers' scenes.

Many of the lovers' scenes in the doodle poke fun at the occasion.

"You can push the heart button over and over again to match up different animals who appear to be going out on different kinds of dates," said WebProNews.

On the other hand, clicking on the search icon in the doodle will take the visitor to search results for George Washington Gale Ferris Jr., the inventor of the Ferris Wheel.

Ferris – born Feb. 14, 1859 and died Nov. 22, 1896 – is the American engineer who created the original Ferris wheel for the 1893 Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition. — LBG, GMA News
